Last year I did a recap of my 12 favorite foods for 12 months and it was so fun I had to do it again for foods of 2024.

Continue readingHusband and I were invited to Buca di Beppo in St. Paul to try out their menu and learn more about the history of their company and the history of that location’s building…including some ghost stories 👻.*
Buca di Beppo is a national chain that actually started in a basement in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Their humble beginnings were actually the inspiration behind the name, with Buca di Beppo translating roughly to “Joe’s small place,” in Italian.
*I do want to add a disclaimer that while I was gifted a dinner experience, my review and thoughts are my own.
See pictures of everything we tried below.
Continue readingI love a theme party and the Minnesota Renaissance Festival is the biggest costume party of the year! The theme is “renaissance” but within 5 minutes of being inside the gates you’ll see that the dress code isn’t universal; medieval, vikings, cottage core, witches, Zelda, Lord of the Rings characters, Dr. Who, Mario Kart, you name it – the gangs all here!
Continue readingI am very excited that this year we had 4 other people with us which allowed me to try more of the new Minnesota State Fair foods! My 2024 Stats: 5 Hours. 10 Food. 4 Beers Tasted. 11,000 Steps.
Get the breakdown below and let me know what foods you tried and/or plan to try this year!
Continue readingA friend and I stumbled upon the Brickhouse when we were searching for a place to grab some rooftop cocktails in White Bear Lake and it was definitely what I like to think Bob Ross would consider “a happy accident.”
Continue readingI previously visited the Apostle Supper Club last year with a friend and remember telling Husband that he had to go back with me because he’d love it and I added it to our list… finally over a year later we made it back 😬.
Continue readingWe’ve been frequenters of Crisp & Green in Woodbury since it opened, but you can only eat salads so I am insanely excited that they now have wraps!
Continue readingI’d previously tried out Bebe Zito at Malcolm Yards Market so I was very excited to see that one was coming to Woodbury, Minnesota and when I realized it was opening in Woodbury Lakes it was a Hallelujah, because Woodbury Lakes has long needed a quick/fast casual food stop, which will hopefully revive the shopping center!
Sharing some of the hits and misses of my visit below.
Continue readingWhen I previously lived in Northeast, Minneapolis Food Trucks were a standard diet staple as we bopped around from brewery to brewery. Food trucks are my absolute favorite way to eat, because I can easily graze and try one item from each place.
I recently became a Twin Cities Hummingbird and was asked to share my favorite Food Trucks in honor of the holiday so below I’m going to share my favorite 5 food trucks*
*I am making a very conscious effort to only pick food trucks and not include food stands, so if you want my list of ultimate “fair” foods you can check out any of my previous blogs.
Continue readingLast Saturday we attended the annual Food Truck Extravaganza held at the Washington County Fairgrounds in Stillwater, Minnesota – even the rain couldn’t keep us away! This was our 2nd time attending – our first time was 2 years ago – and I can definitely say the Greater Stillwater Chamber of Commerce upped their game!
My only critique is that it costs $10 per adult to get in and there isn’t really much to do other than buy food at the trucks or buy beer and sit and listen to live music so it’s not exactly a cost effective day, but for someone like me who’s happiest grazing and trying as much as I can it’s definitely worth it!
