My favorite time of year – The Minnesota State Fair! My 2023 Stats: 6 Hours. 10 Food. 9 Beers Tasted.
Get the breakdown below and let me know what foods you tried and/or plan to try this year!
Continue readingSushi dates with my momma are my favorite tradition. We normally go to Akita since it’s right down the road from my apartment, but we were both ready to try somewhere new so I was excited to finally try Sushi Tango in Tamarack Village!
Continue readingIf lobster mac was a personality trait, my enneagram would be “The Eater.” I’ve been a loyal customer of the North Loop Smack Shack for years so when I found out my friend was flying into town from Texas, Smack Shack Bloomington was the perfect way to remind him that he made the wrong choice by moving 🤪.
Continue readingI’ve been to LITT Pinball Bar a few times over the years so it seemed like the perfect day date adventure for my birthday!
I’m very pro activities associated with childhood being reclaimed as acceptable adult activities. I have to confess that the first time I went to LITT was back when it had recently opened as TILT. I was there to meet up with a tinder date and was optimistic, yet very skeptical, that it would be fun because I personally find Up-Down to be overwhelming (super crowded and not a lot of moving room), but I am happy to report I was wrong. He may not have been right for me*, but LITT sure was 😄.
Continue readingI did my first review of Hazelwood Food & Drink back in December when they had recently opened, so it felt fitting that 8 months later we should visit again and see if it was still living up to the hype!
Continue readingI recently met up with one of my bests for brunch at Gary’s Supper Club in Lakeville, Minnesota. The food was really good and despite it being a “supper club” it was actually pretty casual!
Continue readingWe were itching to try somewhere new, but were starving so didn’t really want to make the drive into the cities so it was the perfect opportunity to finally check out the new Lakewood Tavern in Lake Elmo!
Continue readingI have a previous Hipster Hack for D-Spot Wings from 2019, but it is still one of our go-to places so it felt long overdue to do an updated review even if everything I said before is still very valid!
Continue readingSooooooo there’s a speakeasy in Eagan. Yeah, seriously, in EAGAN. My mind was blown, too. When we saw it on google maps we didn’t believe it was true and originally thought we were mistaken or that it had gone out of business because when we pulled up the restaurant said Burgers & Bottles, but low and behold, when we walked in we were directed to the red door and Volstead House Whiskey Bar + Speakeasy beyond.
Full disclosure: we actually ended up going back a second time on the following Sunday, because the bartender let us know it was half off pours so this Hipster Hack actually covers two visits and we are not, in fact, giant lushes haha.
Continue readingHusband orchestrated an impromptu adventure day for us for my Birthday a couple Sundays ago which ended with us getting a last minute reservation at The Butcher’s Tale in Minneapolis… the perfect end to the day!
